A little about my VW photography exhibit and shop: I have a junkyard out in Landers that my daughters and I turned into our own art space. In addition to photography, I’ve always had passion for desert junk art: Building robots, spaceships, and pirate ships, solar systems, etc out of the different materials and parts we discovered in the space. After my last photography exhibit, I really felt I wanted to find a new way to frame my photography —something that connected to each image and that combined all the mediums I love to play in. That’s when the idea of using car mirrors and doors as frames came up—repurposed sculptures holding the story of each image.

Each piece has been found either in my junkyard and other junkyards that I’ve discovered on the road during various road-trips. When I find a mirror or door, I choose one of my images that feels right in its pairing. Then I customize each print to the size of each mirror or door.

Each piece has a story for me. It’s been a labor of love and an adventure in the making of each one. I hope you enjoy them.

***FOR CUSTOMIZED DOORS/MIRRORS: While each door and mirror is one of a kind, I am able to customize selected prints to doors and mirror frames for an additional price. If you have questions and would like to discuss these options, please email me.
